Shekar means sugar in Farsi. A poem by Rumi, sung in Persian by Farbod, set to melodic house - two synth stabs that call and answer, a tombak swelling into the drop.

About Soheil Jalali
Soheil Jalali is a Vancouver-based DJ and producer making melodic house & techno, progressive house and Afro house. Rhythm came first. As a child he played the Persian hand drum, and all through university the African hand drum. That love of drums and percussion still sits at the centre of everything he makes. After years behind the decks he turned to production: lush pads, patient builds and hypnotic grooves.
